To promote the search of spiritual meaning for the Métis people and preserve our culture for our community. |

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE :
| The VMCA is set up as a society under the guidelines and rules laid out by the Attorney General of British Columbia. Further to this we adhere to our own internal protocols and regulations. Our community organization has a board with positions for a President, Vice-President & Captain of the Hunt, Treasurer, and General Members. This board works through the advice and direction given to it by the Elders Council. The board and all positions are reap pointed once a year at the annual general meeting. On average board members sit for 3- 4 years. Any member of the community is given the opportunity to run for board positions should they wish. There is also a conscious attempt to have equal gender representation on the board and committees. |
